About Dynamic Media Solutions

Dynamic Media Solutions was founded by lifelong colleagues Karl Barry and Stephen Hyland to deliver what too many projects in print and installation were missing: reliability, craft, and clear communication.

After years in out-of-home advertising, large-format print, and on-site installation, we saw the same problems repeat across the industry—missed deadlines, inconsistent quality, poor communication, and unreliable installs. We built DMS to be the antidote.

Karl Barry

Managing Director

With over 25 years of experience in the out-of-home advertising and print industry, Karl Barry has held key roles, including Production Manager, Operations Manager, and Business Development Manager for some of Ireland's leading OOH companies. His extensive experience in coordinating design, print, and installation processes makes him an expert in delivering high-quality, large-scale advertising campaigns.

Karl is not only a seasoned industry professional but also a successful entrepreneur. He has owned and operated multiple businesses in the early education industry, demonstrating his ability to lead and innovate across different sectors.

In addition to his business acumen, Karl has a deep passion for human behaviour and personal development. Holding an honours degree in psychology and a master’s in psychotherapy, he is a practising psychotherapist and a PhD candidate at Dublin City University (DCU). His doctoral research explores how generative AI can support reflective practice in psychotherapy and how these tools shape therapists’ professional identity, work aimed at informing future training, supervision, and ethical guidance. This blend of clinical insight, research rigour, and hands-on leadership underpins his role as Managing Director, where he brings clear communication, decisive problem-solving, and a consistent focus on client outcomes to Dynamic Media Solutions.

Stephen Hyland

Commerical Director

With over 15 years of experience in the outdoor advertising and signage industry, Stephen Hyland is a master of print and installation. A 3M-trained expert in advanced vinyl wrapping techniques, he ensures that every installation is executed with precision, durability, and quality.

Stephen’s background is unique—before entering the print and signage world, he served in the army, where he developed a skill set that has seamlessly transferred into his role at Dynamic Media Solutions. His time in the military instilled in him:

His deep understanding of materials, surfaces, and complex installation methods allows him to handle projects of any scale, from simple signage to intricate wraps on vans, buses, and trains. Stephen thrives in challenging environments, using his expertise to overcome obstacles and deliver flawless results every time.
